Suggested Equipment List
The aim of this list is to provide assistance to riders in preparing practical items that may be of use during the 2010 Tour de Timor.
The following represents a comprehensive list of equipment, but please bear in mind the importance of packing light to avoid both excess baggage charges and alleviate the burden on the Tour.
Food, water and toilet and shower facilities will be provided throughout the race from the evening of Monday 13 September to breakfast on Friday 17 September. Primary means of accommodation will be tent accommodation, though some open and covered accommodation will also be provided (depending on location).
Storage for larger items such as Bike Bags will be provided in Dili and support vehicles will be transporting all your equipment through each stage.
Food & Fluids

Medical, Personal Hygiene & Comfort

- Mosquito Repellent
- Rash Cream (savlon, baby rash cream or similar)
- Ear Plugs (for sleeping in tents)

Bike & Gear
What’s provided
A team of mechanics will be working at each overnight stay location for the duration of the Tour. The Mechanic’s workspace includes bike stands, wash stands and tools. Minor cost-price fees will be charged for spare-parts.A limited number of tubes and replacement equipment will be available for common repair problems. Our race mechanics will be adding more to this section soon to explain their stocks and recommendations.
You should bring a small repair kit and spare tubes for mechanical problems you may experience on course.
Very little bike equipment can be purchased in Timor-Leste, so bring everything you think you may need with you.

Camping Equipment
What’s provided
A camping pack (including mosquito net (see below), mattress and sleeping sheet) will be available for purchase online (at wholesale prices) along with registration. This will be delivered directly to Dili and be available for collection when you arrive.What to bring
- Tent / most people happy with a fly/mozzie dome as below
- Chairs (lightweight three leg recommended)
