Dates set for 2010 Tour de Timor; new website launched
The President of Timor-Leste, Dr. José Ramos-Horta, today officially announced the dates for the second Tour de Timor International Mountain Bike Race, which will take place from 13 to 17 September of this year. A newly refurbished website has just been launched at www.tourdetimor.com.

With a new course and improvements to race logistics and amenities, “riders can expect five tough days of riding on rough roads and some high altitude singletracks with overnight support that prepares riders for the next day. It will be a gruelling race and a lot of fun”, says Race Director, David White.
Neil van der Ploeg, who took out the Open Championship in 2009, will return to defend his title. Reflecting on his Tour de Timor experience, he said, “winning the 2009 TDT was the highlight of my year and thinking about it still makes me excited. Win or lose, I think i’d be crazy to miss out on the 2010 TDT, I’m already pumped!”
