Team Rules
All international cyclists must be registered to participate in the Tour de Timor. For single and double applicants that do not manage to form a team, the Tour de Timor Committee will form you into a team of 4. Scoring for teams will be based on the third rider over the line on any given stage, providing redundancy for every team. Should teams have late minute changes for team member prior to the race, this can be organised in direct consultation with Race Management at riders@dilimarathon.com
Competitors are eligible for both team as well as individual prizes. Please contact the organising committee if you are an individual or a group of 2 or 3 and require assistance putting together a team. We will pair individuals into groups of riders with equivalent standards.
A mixed team must have a least one female rider, and at least one female rider must complete each stage. If there is only one female rider in a mixed team and she is the 4th rider from the team to cross the finish line, the time for the results will be the time that the female riders finishes.
A team which DNF (does not have the required number of riders finish a stage) will have the individual rider times count for the overall competition. Their team time will be the time of the last team to finish that stage in their category plus 1 hour. An individual rider who DNF a stage will be awarded the time of the last finisher of their gender for that stage plus 1 hour.
